an idea during a hurricane deployment in New Orleans.
Rob Brown and Kirk Belz had spent several years as staff adjusters and both had worked with independent adjusters in various capacities. They believed they could build a company that provided a higher level of service, leadership and commitment to excellence.
Mid-America Adjusting Services (MAAS) was born out of this idea…not to be the biggest, just the best. Initially, MAAS began by handling catastrophic property claims throughout the Midwest and Southeast, later expanding across most of the lower 48 states. As their experience, customers, management acumen and staff grew, new products were developed.
MAAS no longer ecompassed all the abilities and services the company had to offer; it was time to replace MAAS with a name that encompassed the abilities and services offered by the organization. Enter: ACORN CLAIMS.
